Democracy in Sweden- morning delight
This morning Umaiza and I had a short meeting with Umaiza school principal to discuss Umaiza has an issue with one of the school policies.
Umaiza is 5 years old, she thinks that school policy on children must wear flat shoes must change. She would like to be able to wear high heels to school so that she can look more princess like. She also points out that th...e principal was in high heels.
In the whole Q&A session i hope Umaiza understands now the potential risk of high heels, how it limits playing like gym time etc. there was a discussion on what does it mean to be a princess like, not just I appearance but the personality etc.
In a solution, there maybe talks about adding high heels shoes to pretend room, where kids can play dress up.
